°µÍø½ûÇø has hired Shelia Sumner as a professional counselor. In her role, she will will provide guidance and support to students in the areas of academics, career planning, and personal concerns.
Prior to LSC, Sumner served as counselor/academic advisor coordinator at the Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College in Cloquet, MN. She received her M.A.in counseling psychology:art therapy, Adler School of Professional Psychology, Chicago and a B.S. in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
At Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, Sumner provided academic advising, and career and personal counseling to a diverse student population. She successfully advocated for minority/under-represented students as a trusted campus resource.
