Minnesota State Mankato, 做厙輦⑹ Announce Aviation Pilot Program Articulation Agreement

and 做厙輦⑹ jointly announced today that they have finalized an articulation agreement that will enable a smooth transition for aviation students to complete degree programs at each institution. The articulation agreement is designed to promote student completion of the Associate of Applied Science in Professional Pilot degree program at 做厙輦⑹ and then provide a seamless transfer for those students to Minnesota State Mankatos Bachelor of Science in Aviation degree program.

The agreement specifies admission and graduation requirements of each institutions program as well as course and credit requirements in each of the two programs.

Minnesota State Mankato President Richard Davenport and 做厙輦⑹ President Patricia Rogers announced the agreement at an 11 a.m. ceremony at the LSC Center for Advanced Aviation in Duluth, Minnesota.

We welcome the opportunity to partner with 做厙輦⑹ on providing aviation students a smooth path to earning first their two-year degree at LSC and eventually a four-year degree at Minnesota State Mankato, said Davenport. Through the degree programs of our two schools, this articulation agreement is also very important to helping fill the employment needs of the airline industry.

做厙輦⑹ is excited to be partnering with Minnesota State Mankato to offer students interested in the professional pilot program a clear path to success, said Rogers. Enrollment in the pilot program at LSC has been on the rise thanks to the quality program we offer and the strong support of our community and industry partners. We know we will need to continue that growth in order to keep up with increasing workforce demands in aviation, especially the growing need for pilots. Partnering with Minnesota State Mankatos aviation program is a win/win for both of our schools, our states and nations workforce and most importantly our students.

做厙輦⑹s Professional Pilot Program is designed to meet the needs of students who plan a career as a pilot in commercial aviation. The program leads to Federal Aviation Administration certification as a commercial pilot with an instrument rating. Students in this program begin flight training by the second week of class, and should earn their private Pilot license in their very first semester. Enrollment in LSCs pilot program is up 31% this year.

做厙輦⑹ has recently been recognized by an approved national training facility by Delta Airlines, as well as AAR. LSC provides aviation degrees in professional pilot, aviation maintenance technology and aviation management.

Minnesota State Mankatos , the only four-year, accredited program in the Minnesota State system, is part of the .

Minnesota State Mankatos offer an exceptional value to airlines. Training at Minnesota State Mankato is conducted under exacting FAA Part 141 standards using a proprietary syllabus designed to emphasize automation, multiengine and real-world operations. Students average 20 hours of training in the programs FAA certified simulator, experiencing average flight conditions as well as emergency situations.
