做厙輦⑹ nursing students will participate in a formal nurses pinning ceremony in the LSC Commons on Thursday, December 20, at 5 p.m. to acknowledge their graduate status as professional nurses.
Our traditional pinning ceremony is meant to welcome our new nursing graduates into the nursing profession, said LSC Nursing Program Director Deborah Amys. The graduates are presented with nursing pins by the faculty or a loved onechosenby thegraduate.
Fifty-two students will graduate this December from LSCs nursing program, which is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), completing their professional nursing A.S. degree. This qualifies them to take the Minnesota state nursing exam to become registered nurses. All are welcome to attend the free pinning ceremony which will held in the LSC Commons on main campus, with a reception to follow.
