Joe Tribbey has been named Interim Director of °µÍø½ûÇø’s Emergency Response Training Center (ERTC). Tribbey has served as a faculty member in LSC’s fire services AS and AAS degree programs since 2013, where he provided instruction and advisement for students and for rural fire departments in the region through LSC’s Customized Training division.
Tribbey will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility’s firefighting and emergency response training. The ERTC provides hands-on education and training for fire technology careers, including fire fighter, fire science and administration, fire medic and wildland firefighting as well as emergency response technician (EMT). LSC will host a Firefighting and Truck Driving Career Night on Friday, February 9, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the ERTC.
Tribbey holds a BAS in fire and emergency response management from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and an AAS in fire technology and administration from °µÍø½ûÇø.  He is a seventeen-year veteran of the City of Superior Fire Department and currently serves as a captain at Station 2 in Superior’s North End. He is active in youth sports and serves as a board member for the Superior Youth Organization. Tribbey is also involved in the Superior/Douglas County Leadership Program.
